What was it like doing your first Covid-19 decontamination job?
Our first Covid-19 decontamination went very smoothly. We have years of expert decontamination experience. It is very similar to other hazardous materials such as bodily fluids, asbestos, or lead. To complete the process, we are very detailed and organized which is the process we follow for all our cleaning & decontamination jobs.

Covid-19 cleaning and decontamination is a three step process.
Step 1, we clean all the touch points & horizontal surfaces (including doorknobs and flat surfaces such as counter tops).
Step 2, we decontaminate walls, floors, surfaces, & contents using a ULV fogger to cover the room with a germicidal cleaner concentrate. Using a ULV fogger allows us to decontaminate surfaces & contents. The ULV droplets stay suspended in the air for up to six hours to provide long lasting decontamination.
Step 3, we run our Hydroxyl generator in the area for 24 hours to complete the decontamination process.
What products do you use and how do you know they are effective in eliminating Covid-19?
The main product we use for cleaning and decontamination is Mediclean, a germicidal cleaner concentrate, which is marketed as being able to effectively kill human corona-virus.
What safety precautions do you take? What protective equipment do you wear?
To prevent the spread and contamination to our staff and building occupants, we block off entry into the affected areas, posting signs at entrance to work area communicate to others the area is not safe for entry. For our personal safety, we wear full protective equipment including Tyvek suits, full face masks, and gloves. We utilize our designated decontamination area to ensure workers are properly decontaminated prior to leaving the work area
How does your process differ from the cleaning I normally do at home?
We have a three step process to not only clean but decontaminate the area. Our process differs from the standard spray & wipe cleaning as we provide a deeper clean than your average household products & cleaning. Our cleaning process is generally used when there has been an exposure to the Covid-19 corona-virus.
How long will it take for my residence to no longer be infected with Covid-19?
On average, our cleaning and decontamination process can take from 4 to 8 hours to complete, with an additional 24 hour period which we recommend for the use of Hydroxyl generators.
